1972: Hanks Construction is started by Terry Hanks. The company's initial jobs were building barns and other steel structures. It was not started to actually build boathouses.
1978-1982 : The company begins building boathouses only in the summertimes to add variety of jobs to there workload.
1990: Dee Hanks goes into partnerhip with Terry Hanks.
1996: The company begins to exclusively build boathouses because there is a high demand for them.
2008: Dee Hanks buys other half of business and becomes sole owner of company.
